I am reading the 7th book (please do not spoil!) and I can't remember the connection between the two, and I couldn't find it on Sparknotes either. I haven't read the first book since it came out, so I can't remember. Did the ring come from the Stone? Please let me know :)No connection. The Sorcerers stone was made by Dumbledore and Flammel. The stone in the ring was the Resurrection stone the devil gave to the second brother. Keep reading it explains the stone quite well.
