I am studying to be an Electrician ....?

I have no previous qualifications and this is a complete career change.. Has anyone else done this and would like to hear thier experiences, how difficult it is etc ?? thanks. The work will involve theory and practical work. I started as an electrician and then changed over to engineering courses.
I'm not sure whether conduit bending is still part of the course, most women can cope with it, it just needs a little strength. Good luck.its not that difficult i trained as an electrician when i was 16 and left school with no qualificationsGo for it!
As long as you are pretty quick at picking things up and good at things in a practical way I see no problems.
I haven't trained to be an electrician, but have helped a friend who has refurbed our house with us.
I have learnt how to plumb to a degree too, and fitted two bathrooms and a complete kitchen, I was told that women can make great plumbers and electricians, as we have small hands!!

:o)If you are in the UK you should look at the National Apprenticeship Scheme for which you need no formal qualifications.
