Can you give some tips on effective time management ?

Time management is a very personal area, and I think you need to find what your style is; but it is quite important to set your goals first. If you don't have goals, you are likely to float around with not much direction. Once you have goals worth your energy and time, you will see how it is easier to get motivated to be organized. Without goals, why do you want to get organized?

Now create a list with 5 things you would like to do today, and number them from 1 to 5 according to importance, being 1 the most important. Do number one first, but if you can't move to number 2 or 3. Then if you have time try to accomplish 4 and 5. Do this everyday and see how that goes. Eventually you can have a longer list, but to start it is better to have a short list to practice everyday.

Make sure you identify where your time is going. Sometimes we reach the end of the day and wonder what happened to all those hours we spend awake. See where you can improve your use of time. Sometimes we spend to much time in activities that are not so productive.

Create a flexible schedule. Plan your week and set a flexible routine. Some people say routines are boring. They can be but they don't have to. There are things we need to do, like getting enough sleep, eating, exercising, paying bills, doing laundry, feeding the pets, etc. So routines are necessary if we want to manage time effectively. Do NOT plan your day minute by minute; this would only make your life more difficult to handle because this can be unrealistic and not flexible.

There are many other things you can do to improve your time management, but this could be a good beginning to find out what things work for you in this area.

and remember 80% of the real value on the things we do is concentrated on the 20% of things we have to do. Find that 20% that is really important and do it! The rest can be done little by little or eliminated if not important.

Good luck and lots of success!Make a list of everything you have to do today. Do the hardest job(s) first. Then flow through the remainder of the tasks. To be honest, its just about prioritizing what is most important and then DOING it. No procrastination.I would say the first thing to do is get off here.
