How come there isn't?
any option for renewing FAFSA for the 08-09 school yr on the FAFSA website ( the .ed.gov one, not the .com)? Is it because its still to early to do so? Will there be an option for that when the time comes?Our country is to busy to worry about one person in their freshman year of high school.Sorry dear. You have to actually reapply every year. My brother is in college in Texas and he found out 2 days ago that he has to go through the whole process again. It's a mess.It will probably be available around March-April...maybe even as early as next month. Just keep checking.There should be one on there soon. It's probably not there yet because you can't do the FAFSA until after you file your taxes.I'm not sure why the "Renewal" app isn't listed yet. But you don't have to use it to reapply. It just makes it a little easier when you do. The information you already know about yourself (birthday, ssn, address, email) would be prefilled. There is really no difference between the 08-09 FAFSA and the Renewal applications.
